This design-build project is a striking reflection of the Government’s desire to “create a state-of-the-art workplace that supports the mission of the FBI.” In addition to a bold exterior facade that conveys an image of strength and professionalism, this 95,000-square-foot facility provides a flexible office environment designed to be reconfigured easily and often to accommodate a variety of administrative functions. The facility also supports highly sensitive and specialized functions such as forensic evidence processing and storage, polygraph examinations, and all law enforcement activities within the Field Office’s area of responsibility. The site is accessed by two separate and secured entrance points, and a ground floor Annex provides areas for FBI vehicle maintenance, technical equipment installation, and additional evidence processing. QGC and its partners worked closely with the Government to successfully deliver a secure and mechanically robust facility that not only provides cutting edge resources for the prosecution of the FBI’s mission but will remain functional during crisis situations.
