Chad Williams
Chairman & CEOChad Williams is Chairman and CEO of Quality Growth Companies (QGC). He is also the founder and former CEO of Quality Technology Services (QTS), which under his leadership became one of the largest and fastest-growing digital infrastructure providers in the world. A recognized leader in mission-critical real estate and technology, he champions bold ideas, principled action, and ventures that create lasting impact.
During Chad’s tenure, QTS grew from a single site in Kansas into a global digital infrastructure leader, serving enterprise, federal, and hyperscale customers. In 2009, he secured a major growth investment from private-equity partner General Atlantic—capital that fueled QTS’s expansion and positioned the company for its 2013 debut on the New York Stock Exchange. In 2021 he led QTS to its $10 billion take-private by Blackstone, one of the largest transactions in the sector. In the years that followed, QTS scaled into a $65-plus billion platform, achieving a ten-fold increase in leased capacity between 2021 and 2025.
Chad’s foresight in positioning QTS for hyperscale readiness as early as 2018, including land acquisition, securing long-lead equipment, and forging strong partnerships with power utilities, uniquely positioned the company to meet the surge in AI and cloud demand, enabling the leasing of several gigawatts of capacity by 2025.
He has been recognized with the Frost & Sullivan Global Visionary Innovation Leadership Award and was invited to the White House Roundtable on U.S. Leadership in AI Infrastructure in 2024. His perspective combines deep industry expertise with a strong commitment to business culture and resilience, grounded in gratitude and guided by faith-driven values.
Through QGC, the founding company, Chad now invests in and builds ventures that advance infrastructure and innovation while creating long-term value. He and his wife, Jeannie, also co-chair The QFoundation, supporting veterans, first responders, and community initiatives. QGC brings together infrastructure, innovation, and impact, reflecting his belief that business should move people forward while shaping a stronger future. People. Forward.
